The LAMOST project is one of the National Major Scientific Projects undertaken by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. With the highest spectra acquiring rate LAMOST expects to bring Chinese astronomy to a leading position in wide field observation and research. As a national facility, LAMOST will be opened to the whole astronomical community when it goes into operation.  As LAMOST comes close to its commissioning phase, communication and interaction between the project and potential users is getting more and more frequent and urgent. On one hand, astronomers are eager to know more about LAMOST, in order to better understand how it works and to prepare science more efficiently for the coming survey data. On the other hand, LAMOST needs all kinds of help from our astronomical community. Now an internet forum, the “LAMOST Users” website, is provided for this purpose.

On our website, visitors can read all the articles with related comments and post your own comments as well, from the “Categories” menu ( by subject ) or the “Archives” menu ( by time ). You can easily REGISTER to gain the blog advantage to post comments.

Please support and enjoy our common forum.
